What An Amazing Promise!

1 Corinthians 3:16

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God'sSpirit lives in you?

1 Peter 2:4-5

⁴ As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— ⁵ you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

In the Old Testament the Lord dwelled first in the Tabernacle and then in the Temple.  They were places where His people could come to sacrifice and worship Him.  In the New Testament the Apostle Paul writes that we are the Temple of God and that His Spirit dwells in us.  In John 14:23 Jesus says, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.  My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

Today make the sacrifice to love the Lord and obey His teachings and He will make His home with you.  What an amazing promise!
