An Average Joe...Not So Bad.

1 Samuel 16:7 "7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." The bible reveals to us that God's strategy in choosing leaders and laborers was unconventional compared to legendary writings of past heroes and mighty men. Men of renown were usually taller and physically stronger than any other man. When God chose David to anoint as king and to defeat Goliath He wasn't choosing a tall, mighty military man. He was choosing an overlooked, under valued young man. In today's terms David would be considered an "Average Joe." If you consider yourself an "Average Joe," there is great hope for you!
