The Worth Of A Woman

In a society that was dominated by men and where women were oppressed, Jesus poured out His love equally to all men, women, and children.  Jesus recognized the worth of every woman and "made obsolete" oppressive Jewish laws and customs.  In Hebrews 8:6 & 13 it says, "6 But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises...13 When God speaks of a “new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear."  The old way of how women were treated and viewed ended with Jesus' new covenant.  He gave every woman a purpose to live, a destiny to fulfill.

Proverbs 31:10 tells us about what a wise woman once taught her son.  This son was to become king one day. She said, "A wife of noble character who can find?  She is worth far more than rubies."

Treat the women in your life with the same sense of worth Jesus has for them.

Have a great day!  God bless you.
