Have Faith...No Storm Can Overtake You!

Matthew 8:23-27 23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" 26 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!" Sometimes without warning we find ourselves going through a storm in life. How can we stay calm when we feel as the disciples felt, fearful that the storm could possibly overtake us? We may feel like Jesus is sleeping as we suffer! We may feel that the Lord isn't concerned as much as we are about our circumstance. We may wonder why He is silent right now in our storm. Instead of focusing on the power of the storm, focus on the power of the Creator of the universe who is in the boat with you. Have faith in Him and know that nothing can overtake you!
