What Is God's Will For My Life? - Part II

Titus 3:3-7

"3At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life."

Ephesians 5:17-18

"17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."

1 Thessalonians 4:3

"3It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;"

The second step in finding God's will for your life is to be filled with the Spirit and be sanctified.  After coming to Christ, the Spirit empowers and motivates us to live a sanctified life (separated and set apart for pure and holy living).  The Spirit enables you to do what is pleasing to God and keeps you from a lifestyle of foolishness, disobedience, deception, and bondage to all kinds of lusts and pleasures.  Romans 12:1-2 says, "1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.  2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

Amazing Word!  Yield to the Spirit, and position yourself in purity to live in God's will today.

Have a great day!  God bless you.
