There Until The End

Luke 8:1-3

1 Soon afterward, [Jesus] went on through towns and villages, preaching and bringing the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve [apostles] were with Him, 2 And also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been expelled; 3 And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's household manager; and Susanna; and many others, who ministered to and provided for Him and them out of their property and personal belongings.

We have to admit, this week has been very enlightening after exploring the interaction between Jesus and women.  Jesus undoubtedly accepted women into His inner circle.  These women felt so empowered by Jesus' ministry it motivated them to unselfishly serve Him and to support Him financially!

Even when they could not minister to Him as He hung on the cross, women were just simply THERE!  While the other disciples hid in fear and watched from a distance, Jesus' mother Mary, His mother's sister, and Mary Magdalene were THERE at the foot of the cross (John 19:25).  Remember what Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you” (Luke 22:33).  Was Peter at the foot of the cross?  No!  He was hiding in fear.  We asked ourselves this question?  Where would we have been standing?

When a woman finds something or someone worthy to believe in, her dedication, support, loyalty and love are THERE until the end!

Have a great day!  God bless you.
