Follow God's Commands Not Man's Suggestions!

Ephesians 2:8-9 "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast." After reading these scriptures, we were reminded of the story of Abraham. It amazes us how God graciously chose to reveal Himself to Abraham and sovereignly call him out of idolatry. In Genesis 12:1 it says, "The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave..." The way the text is written God's calling of Abraham was more of a command not a suggestion! Even though God commanded, Abraham still had to make a choice, leave or stay? Abraham chose wisely! By faith, he believed God, left his country, his people, and his father's household to became the "father of many nations." Abraham's story reveals to us that God's direction for our lives may be different than the one we are headed in. If you choose to follow His leading, like Abraham did, it will lead you to a rewarding and fruitful destiny. Today, follow God's commands not man's suggestions! Have a great day! God bless you.
